40 Days to FREEDOM

Filed under: Uncategorized — captainrachelunderpants @ 2:48 pm

Exams are coming and Rachel needs to start learning how to be a nerd. LOL

Oh well after my tuition which was at Boon Lay, I had dinner in this restaraunt called I FORGOT THE NAME SORRY! with Lawrence at Jurong Point. After dinner we went to do “After-dinner exercise” which meant we walked around Jurong Point and we came across this shop called Fredrick Casey MoMo. I needed a pouch to dump my stuff (wallet, phone, tissue and MP3). Cuz usually i don’t like carrying a bag around especially when I’m just dining or shopping at my nearby mall. So there and behold i saw this awfully cute pouch and i decided to buy it! I’m quite supprised that i bought it because usually i’m not into cute things, its just SO not me if you get what i meant… BUT it was just what i needed and it looked decent. LOL

I fake my smile sometimes..

Filed under: Uncategorized — captainrachelunderpants @ 2:50 pm

Right now i feel pretty much crap. My soul/heart feels heavy.

Well, i lost my whole wallet on Friday. Practically lost all my cards and my beloved MP3 and oh my crappy phone too. I felt so bad its not even funny.

But, i didn’t stay emo because i think thats useless and it won’t solve my problem. So, i started thinking of ways of getting em back or just replacing them. Yes i got everything back. I replaced my MP3 and my phone. God’s grace really. But praise the Lord anyways for getting me through that.

I didn’t tell my family about it so it was practically carrying my burden on my shoulders alone. It was horrible.. i felt like i couldn’t turn to them? I mean if i did all i’ll get is scolding and nagging which i SO didn’t need at that time. Think about it you already feel like killing yourself and they don’t console you and say “its fine, we’ll find a way to replace it. We will work together! You can always count on us!” I wished they could say that.. but no, thats not reality ( i wish it was). Argh.

But whatever. I’ve got everything back.

But today, they found out i lost my wallet and my mom was nagging and scolding me for losing it being all careless and blah blah blah. I got pissed and i said hey man, i replaced everything so get over it already. ( sometimes i feel, think shes just so bored .. she wants to nag about everything ! and she actually enjoys doing it. It is like her hobby or something. what a mom! She should so get a job -_- ) My dad joined in too. I got pissed and said some hurtful words which i did apologize (sending a text to my dad).

Pretty screwed up huh?

O levels makes me depressed. Makes me feel stressed up and i’m not used feeling that way and I DONT LIKE THE FEELING!

Yeah, I’m trying. But noo–ooo many people don’t think im even studying. OMG :\  Sometimes i get so pissed and annoyed / stressed i don’t even want to go school. I mean i rather stay home and mug. I like staying at home. (No life) LOL

But again.. whatever screw it.

Yeah, people think im all so happy all the time. But hey, i’m a pretty good actress.

Sometimes i feel like im so alone in this crap. I know i shouldn’t feel this way. But i am! I mean i just want a best friend.. someone i can just share all these with instead of typing it on here! this is so not what i thought i would do btw. I want a friend to just hold me and that i can just cry my eyes out. Wheres the love?! LOL

Written with a pen.
Sealed with a kiss.
If you are my friend, please answer this:
Are we friends Or are we not?
You told me once But I forgot.
So tell me now And tell me true.
So I can say…. “I’m here for you.”
Of all the friends I’ve ever met,
You’re the one I won’t forget.
And if I die Before you do,
I’ll go to heaven And wait for you.

That would be sweet if someone said that to me. :’)

A philosopher once asked, “Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?” Pointless, really…”Do the stars gaze back?” Now *that’s* a question.

Secundus: [as he overlooks the balcony] I see the kingdom, father. All of Stormhold.
King: And…
Secundus: My kingdom?
King: Maybe… Look up.
[Secondus looks up to the sky, the king looks to Septimus. Septimus smiles and pushes Secondus off the balcony]

For some reason i love God more and more when i hang out with them more often. I just appreciate what God is doing and yeah just love Him for who He is and the things He does in our lives. I think if We became a mini cg of our own. That would be awesome 😀

Something that caught my eye…

Filed under: Uncategorized — captainrachelunderpants @ 8:58 am

I was reading the bible and i came across this verse that kinda caught grip of my heart. (i don’t think that even made sense…) But yes anyways read this!

:

The Shepherds of Israel

1 Then this message came to me from the Lord: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds, the leaders of Israel. Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord: What sorrow awaits you shepherds who feed yourselves instead of your flocks. Shouldn’t shepherds feed their sheep? 3 You drink the milk, wear the wool, and butcher the best animals, but you let your flocks starve. 4 You have not taken care of the weak. You have not tended the sick or bound up the injured. You have not gone looking for those who have wandered away and are lost. Instead, you have ruled them with harshness and cruelty. 5 So my sheep have been scattered without a shepherd, and they are easy prey for any wild animal. 6 They have wandered through all the mountains and all the hills, across the face of the earth, yet no one has gone to search for them. 7 “Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 8 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, you abandoned my flock and left them to be attacked by every wild animal. And though you were my shepherds, you didn’t search for my sheep when they were lost. You took care of yourselves and left the sheep to starve. 9 Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord. 10 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I now consider these shepherds my enemies, and I will hold them responsible for what has happened to my flock. I will take away their right to feed the flock, and I will stop them from feeding themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths; the sheep will no longer be their prey.

The Good Shepherd

11 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep. 12 I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day. 13 I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel and by the rivers and in all the places where people live. 14 Yes, I will give them good pastureland on the high hills of Israel. There they will lie down in pleasant places and feed in the lush pastures of the hills. 15 I myself will tend my sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace, says the Sovereign Lord. 16 I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak. But I will destroy those who are fat and powerful. I will feed them, yes—feed them justice! 17 “And as for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to his people: I will judge between one animal of the flock and another, separating the sheep from the goats. 18 Isn’t it enough for you to keep the best of the pastures for yourselves? Must you also trample down the rest? Isn’t it enough for you to drink clear water for yourselves? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? 19 Why must my flock eat what you have trampled down and drink water you have fouled?

20 “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will surely judge between the fat sheep and the scrawny sheep. 21 For you fat sheep pushed and butted and crowded my sick and hungry flock until you scattered them to distant lands. 22 So I will rescue my flock, and they will no longer be abused. I will judge between one animal of the flock and another. 23 And I will set over them one shepherd, my servant David. He will feed them and be a shepherd to them. 24 And I, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David will be a prince among my people. I, the Lord, have spoken!

The Lord’s Covenant of Peace

25 “I will make a covenant of peace with my people and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then they will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear. 26 I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing. 27 The orchards and fields of my people will yield bumper crops, and everyone will live in safety. When I have broken their chains of slavery and rescued them from those who enslaved them, then they will know that I am the Lord. 28 They will no longer be prey for other nations, and wild animals will no longer devour them. They will live in safety, and no one will frighten them. 29 “And I will make their land famous for its crops, so my people will never again suffer from famines or the insults of foreign nations. 30 In this way, they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them. And they will know that they, the people of Israel, are my people, says the Sovereign Lord. 31 You are my flock, the sheep of my pasture. You are my people, and I am your God. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

God is the God who will save. He loves me. I’m so glad. He is the best lawyer you can ever get.

Friends

Filed under: Uncategorized — captainrachelunderpants @ 9:12 am

Ever since I was a child, my mother raised me to recognize and appreciate various kinds of friends. There are three different kinds of friends in this life. I classify them
according to how well I know them and how well they know me. We encounter each of them everyday, whether in school, home, or at the gym. However, we rarely spend much time actually thinking about and classifying these people. First, there are the “pest friends”- general acquaintances. Next, there are “guest friends”- social partners. Lastly, we have “best friends”- our true friends.
The first type of friend is simply an acquaintance. This means that you basically only know their name. You might not even remember what they look like if you go away for a
short vacation. Usually, you meet these type of friends in school, at work, on the bus, in the gym, or anywhere else you might be. You normally would not mind having a cup of coffee with them, but if anything else came up, you usually would have no problem parting company.
You normally don’t miss them when they are elsewhere. It is also this type of friends who give you the most amount of aggravation. Since most of the time you are placed in a position where you have to act friendly, such as school or work, you would not normally tell an acquaintance when he or she is doing something aggravating, such as tapping the fingers an a table or chewing gum loudly. This is why I call them “pest friends.”
The second category of friends I call “social partners.” This is because they are closer than acquaintances, but no where near as close as a true friend. Social partners
are usually acquaintances who evolve into “guest friends” through increased extracurricular activities. You know their name, a little of what they like or dislike, a little of their family history, and usually have several things in common. As the saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together,” so too the social partners have to have several things in common with you. No one is going to want to spend any more time than necessary with somebody completely opposite and aggravating to him. Keep in mind, though, that the biggest thing that distinguishes a “best friend” from a “guest friend” is the fact that “guess friends” usually
don’t converse about anything substantial or deep, such as their innermost desires and fears.

Usually, “guest friends” toy to keep the topic of conversation happy and light. They would not open up to you how they are really feeling. They are still preoccupied with “saving face.” You still do enjoy hanging out with them. But when the going gets tough, they are not there
for you.
The last type of friend is the “best friend.” Normally, you know them the longest. You probably grew up together as children. He or she knows everything about you. Likewise,
you know everything about him or her. They are basically like family. You would have no problem if they spent the night at your house. You know each others quirks and habits and can always tell when there is something wrong. You would not hesitate to share your deepest feelings or thoughts with them. “A true friend will see you through when others see that you are through.” A true friend has no problem correcting you when you are wrong, or being stern
with you when you are out of line. Likewise, a true friend will love you like a member of his own family. He will always be there for you. They are not perfect, but at least they will always look out for you and never do anything intentionally to hurt you.
On a final note, I would like to take some time to say that we should always remember keep in mind what kind of a friend we are to other people. We are all surrounded by pest, guest, and best friends. We should always strive to be the best friends, that we can be.
Also, as the saying goes, ” You can’t use your friends and have them too.” We should appreciate and value all friendships that come into our lives, no matter how deep or superficial. We should always remember that all best friends started out as just acquaintances.

tut tut tut~!

Filed under: Uncategorized — captainrachelunderpants @ 9:25 am

Wow, i haven’t been updating my blog for quite some time now huh? My bad!! 😛 But the thing is that i’m back! Betcha missed me a whole bunch yes?! Yes 🙂 aww.. i know i know don’t flatter me!!

So, what i’ve been up to.. HMM…

Well I’ve finally watched High school musical 2! (yes, i’m slow, only sometimes my friend!)

Another film i’ve watched was – The Ex

theex_posterbig.jpg Tom Reilly is a bit of an underachiever when it comes to his career (or lack thereof), but his adoring wife Sofia, a formidable lawyer, has always been happy to act as the breadwinner. With the birth of their first child, Sofia decides she wants to be a stay-at-home mom, so Tom needs to step up and take care of his growing family. Unfortunately he gets fired from his job in New York City and is forced to start working with his father-in-law in Sofia’s hometown of Ohio. Tom soon clashes with his work colleagues, especially the outrageous Chip, who still carries a torch for Sofia from their high school days, and Sofia becomes increasingly uncomfortable staying home with their new baby. In doing all the right things for all the wrong reasons, the couple needs to get back to what they’re good at, before their model family goes completely off track.
It was funny but yet romantic! Apparently it was released on May 11th 2007 but i dont remember seeing it in the theatres!!  But yes the film ended with a good ending 🙂

Another film i watched was DADDY DAY CAMP!

daddydaycamp_posterbig.jpg

Dads Charlie Hinton and Phil Ryerson take over running a summer day camp. Armed with no knowledge of the great outdoors, a dilapidated facility, and a motley group of campers, it doesn’t take long before things get out of control. Up against threats of foreclosure and declining enrollment, Charlie is forced to call on his estranged father, Col Buck Hinton, to help bring the camp together and teach everyone about teamwork, perseverance and the power of forgiveness.

“If the movie is relentless low-brow swill, its splattery good cheer makes it hard to hate.”

Must watch 🙂

Last movie i watched was Becoming Jane

becomingjane_posterbig.jpg

The year is 1795 and young Jane Austen is a feisty 20-year-old and emerging writer who already sees a world beyond class and commerce, beyond pride and prejudice, and dreams of doing what was then nearly unthinkable – marrying for love. Naturally, her parents are searching for a wealthy, well-appointed husband to assure their daughter’s future social standing. They are eyeing Mr. Wisley, nephew to the very formidable, not to mention very rich, local aristocrat Lady Gresham, as a prospective match. But when Jane meets the roguish and decidedly non-aristocratic Tom Lefroy, sparks soon fly along with the sharp repartee. His intellect and arrogance raise her ire – then knock her head over heels. Now, the couple, whose flirtation flies in the face of the sense and sensibility of the age, is faced with a terrible dilemma. If they attempt to marry, they will risk everything that matters – family, friends and fortune.

BE LIFTED HIGH
Leeland Mooring
as performed on worshiptogether.com 's New Song Cafe

[V1]
G Bm(add6) C9 Bm
Sin and its ways grow old
Am Am/G D/F#
All of my heart turns to stone
Em D C Bm
And I'm left with no strength to arise
Am D(/F#) Gsus4 G
I need to be lifted high

[V2]
Sin and its ways lead to pain
Left here with hurt and shame
So no longer will I leave Your side
Jesus You be lifted high

[C]
C Bm
You be lifted high
C Bm
You be lifted high
Am Am/G D/F# Em Bm C
You be lifted high in my life oh God
        Am Am/G
And I fall to my knees
       D/F# Em Bm C (Bm)
So it's You that they see, not I
     Am D(/F#) Gsus4 G
Jesus You be lifted high

[v3]
And even now that I'm inside Your hands
Help me not to grow prideful again
Don't let me forsake sacrifice
Jesus You be lifted high

[v4]
And if I'm blessed with the riches of kings
How could I ever think that it was me?
For You brought me from darkness to light
Jesus You be lifted high
